All proceeds went to USA
for UNHCR and Eau Claire County's Girls
on the Run program.
The event had 64 teams and 140 participants representing eight different
states. There were teams from Wisconsin, Minnesota,
Illinois, Iowa, North Dakota, Montana, Kansas, and California. The event
raised $3000 for the two organizations. The proceeds to USA for
UNHCR provided survival kits to refugees from the Darfur region
of Sudan. The proceeds to Girls on the Run provided shoes and
costs for girls from low-income families in Eau Claire County
who want to participate in the Girls on the Run program.
